Project Summary:
The project “Stop Cholera Deaths in Six DRC Provinces Now” aims to protect vulnerable families in six provinces of the DRC Haut-Katanga, Tanganyika, Sud-Kivu, Nord-Kivu, Tshopo, and Kongo Central by preventing cholera outbreaks. Every year, thousands of lives are lost due to limited access to clean water, medical care, and basic hygiene. In 2025 alone, over 18,000 cases have already been reported. This project provides urgent intervention to save lives and stop the spread of this deadly disease.

Main Objectives:

• Provide rapid access to clean water and hygiene kits to affected communities.
• Deliver emergency treatment and medical supplies in high-risk areas.
• Train local educators and health workers to teach families how to prevent cholera.
• Build long-term resilience through sustainable hygiene practices and stronger local health systems.

Budget and Fundraising:
The total project budget is $95,000. So far, thanks to collaboration with GlobalGiving, we have raised $20. Every contribution brings this project closer to its goal and directly saves lives.

Current Progress:

• Identification of trainers and learners is underway.
• Project launch is scheduled for November 2025.
• Logistics are being prepared for the distribution of clean water and hygiene kits.
