Rachael's' Appreciation

By Samuel Odongo | Administrative Associate- Lira Office

My name is Rachael 11 year’s old girl in primary four at Erute Primary School. I would like to thank PLA so much for supporting me in my Education. I am now very happy that am at school.

Thank you for paying my school fees and Lunch at school. I am requesting PLA to start helping us even at home during holidays with food.

I am also requesting PLA to help us with scholastic materials since we are not able to get it

She has single parent that is her mother  Judith (Affected with HIV/AIDS). Her father Obete  died in 2015 with HIV/AIDS.

Rachael does operate in bananas and Avocado business in town. During weekend and holiday. She participates in this business to buy eatables, books and medicating herself.

Rachael is in the Family of 3 children, she is second born in the family. Her sister Flavia is the head of the family and she was also being sponsored by PLA

She said she is getting a lot of difficulties from her mother since she is using bad Languages on her like” I am dying soon am not going to waste my money on someone who is not going to help me, sometimes she goes for selling her bananas and she does not come back home for even one week”

She is too wild if she takes her drug when there is no food , she said that she do fear her mother a lot some times because a times she threaten them. Rachel’s mother is receiving counseling to enable her support the children and not to be depressed as she is the only parent the children have.
