1. Free Campaign "Gynecological Ultrasound" – March 29, 2025

A health promotion campaign focused on women's well-being was held in Casa Minka. Girls and women were invited to receive free gynecological consultations and ultrasound examinations with a specialized doctor. The initiative provided a safe space for medical support and education regarding women's health.


2. Situational Analysis and Environmental Action Planning – March 23, 2025

Our young leaders carried out a field analysis in Puerto Pérez to identify key environmental issues, particularly pollution of the lake and its surroundings. By engaging with local authorities and residents, they established ties with the municipal government, including the mayor. Joint actions were planned, such as:

  • A community-wide clean-up day.

  • Educational workshops on proper waste disposal, classification, and organic/inorganic waste management.

  • Design and installation of posters and signs to raise environmental awareness.


3. Interinstitutional Agreements with Schools – February 21, 2025

Casa MInka signed official cooperation agreements with five schools: Intervida Fe y Alegría, Santiago 1, Libertad de las Américas, Andrés Bello, and Rotary Chuquiago Marka. These partnerships aim to strengthen efforts toward safe and preventive education for children and adolescents across different school shifts.


4. Awareness Day on Romantic Love and Violence Prevention – February 14, 2025

With support from Casa Minka's prevention program, the Departmental Platform for the Prevention of Teenage Pregnancy and School Violence held a public awareness campaign at El Prado de La Paz. Activities included:

  • Street interviews encouraging reflection on the myths of romantic love.

  • Distribution of informational materials promoting healthy, respectful, and violence-free relationships. This initiative successfully engaged a broad audience and emphasized the value of self-love and mutual support in relationships.


5. Workshop on Masculinities and Violence Prevention – February 3–5, 2025

In collaboration with CEPROSI and USFA University, a three-day course titled "Masculinities, Contexts of Action, and Violence" was conducted. Over 40 participants joined expert Hugo Huberman to explore:

  • Tools for violence prevention.

  • Gender and masculinity approaches.

  • Dialogues reinforcing the commitment to social justice and equity. The training strengthened participants’ capacity to promote non-violent, inclusive communities.


6. International Panel Against Human Trafficking – January 29, 2025

Casa Minka participated in an international conference hosted at UNIFRANZ El Alto, focusing on combating human trafficking in Latin America. The event brought together leaders and organizations from Bolivia, Argentina, Paraguay, and the United States. Discussion topics included:

  • Victim protection strategies.

  • Education and economic empowerment.

  • Cross-border cooperation and prevention efforts. Partners included the U.S. Embassy, CEPROSI, Project Suma, Fundación GEMA, and Bolivia’s Defensoría del Pueblo.


7. Youth Elections for the Departmental Prevention Platform – December 21, 2024

At the Ministry of Justice in La Paz, new representatives were elected for the Departmental Platform for the Prevention of Adolescent Pregnancy and School Violence 2025. Two youth leaders from Casa Minka were among the participants. One of them was elected as Third Secretary - highlighting the leadership and commitment of our youth in shaping a fairer society.


8. Graduation Ceremony for 93 Students – December 20, 2024

Casa Minka proudly celebrated the graduation of 93 students from five schools: Reino de Bélgica, Juan Capriles, Héroes del Pacífico, Guido Villagómez, and Eufrasio Ibáñez. This event marked the culmination of a transformative learning journey and honored the students’ dedication and growth. These young leaders are now equipped to inspire change beyond the classroom.


9. Therapy Program Closure and Food Donation – Week of December 16, 2024

The therapy program concluded with heartfelt celebrations alongside participating families. In a moment of gratitude, food donations were distributed to several families, thanks to the generosity of supporters Fabrizio and Ramona from Switzerland. This week was a testament to the healing, resilience, and community spirit fostered through Casa Minka.
