The Stolen Girls Stolen Futures project is an ongoing project where we are currently servicing girls in the Dominican Republic, Kenya, Ghana. As of January 10, 2024 we have now moved into the country of France.
1. Dominican Republic- Last year we graduated two of our permenant girls from high school. We now have two more that will be graduating in June. We are presently looking for funding to assist these two girls with university funding. During the last quarter of the year the assistance that we normally get from the government was stopped due to governmental problems. However because of the continued support of our faithful sponsors we were able to continue helping these girls that have been abandoned and in most cases would not have anywhere to turn if we were not there.
2. Kenya- On Octoberr 28th we graduated 19 girls from our vocational training program. That is a near 100% ratio. We started the year with 20 and only one had to drop due to illness. Prior to graduation the participates completed their 3 week internship and set for the national exam. Several of the girls have started their own businesses and the remainder have secured permanent job placements. Also on January 5th we opened our 3rd set of 20 students.
3. In April of last year we opened our 3rd location in Ghana W. Africa for abandoned and orphaned children. We partnered with Love Community Care facility in Accra Ghana. Our center houses up to 50 children that have been placed there by the Department of Children Services. The center is progressing well and the children are cared for daily by our staff.
4.On January 10th our Resident Missionary relocated to France to begin the plans to open the 4th center right outside of Paris City. This center will work directly with young women that have been trafficked and are now amongst the homeless population. We have plans to operate a Day program with hot meals, showers, immigration assistance, drug and alcholol counselling and other services.
Thank you for your continued support of this work.
