Step Up for Melanoma is an inspiring virtual initiative that unites individuals in the fight against melanoma. By challenging participants to walk 10,000 steps a day throughout Melanoma Awareness Month in May, this campaign raises both awareness and vital funds for the Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA). There is no cost to participate and while fundraising is not required it is highly encouraged.
For 2024, more than 85 participants raised $60,000 for melanoma research. These funds will be applied 100% to our research grant program, as all overhead costs are covered by our founders, Debra and Leon Black.
Since 2021, Step Up participants have raised over $325,000!
