In Croatia, even 30 years after the war, some areas are still struggling. Families and kids face financial hardships, widening the gap in today's tech-driven Europe. Our plan? Educate 4,000 deserving kids using a STEM mobile LAB with gadgets, microscopes, telescopes and robots! We're taking free STEM workshops to remote areas, sparking curiosity, encouraging STEM careers, and making science fun. Hands-on experiments empower kids and close the opportunity gap. Join us in building a just society!
In Croatia 30 years after Croatian War of Independence there are still areas affected by the terrible armed conflicts of the 90s. This results in badly impoverished areas where families and children are still struggling to make ends meet, not being able to cover even the basic living costs. In an increasingly green and digital EU, this gap is affecting poor children the most, especially in science and STEM education. We strive to change this by educating 4.000 children using our STEM mobile LAB!
STEM mobile LAB is equipped with more than 50 different STEM units (microscopes, robots, interactive measuring devices, telescope, drones, environmental field work tools, lab chemicals, health measuring tools and more), allowing children to participate in free interactive expert-led STEM workshops and for the first time gain a life changing first-hand experience with scientific and IT equipment, inspiring STEM careers! The LAB accommodates up to 200 children, reaching to the most remote areas!
Experiencing STEM for the first time gives a child access to digital and green technologies, promotes critical thought, inspires STEM career choices, and instills a positive attitude towards science. Performing own hands-on experiments with diverse STEM equipment is crucial for empowering future generations for problem-solving skills, which matters regardless of their future career choices. It also significantly reduces the gap for children with fewer opportunities creating a more just society.
