Dear friend,
I hope this report finds you well.
First Love Foundation would like to sincerely thank you for your support over the past year. With all challenges in the nonprofit space, certainly it is all much easier with your valuable support and of course the joy of making a difference in our community.
As we draw towards the end of 2024, we take stock of the objectives we laid out at the beginning of year and of course compare these objectives with what we have managed to accomplish to date. In this analysis, we find that while we have made some inroads in the Science, Technology and Maths (STEM) space, a lot of work still needs to be done before we can have adequate impact as laid out in our mission objectives.
Our main challenge remains to be the lack of funding to implement the project as our main prospective funders are yet to sign off on the project. However, we remain committed to the education of children and youth and all that concerns their rights, which includes their access to education, health, safe housing etc. And so, we remain committed to the cause of high school learners living in less privileged communities and their access to STEM education.
As high school leaners who sat for thier final exams in the past few months await their results, the usual expectation is that those from less privileged communities will reflect poor performance in the STEM subjects and consequently, their chances of securing university admission in their chosen field related to STEM will be greatly affected.
This project seeks to change this unfortunate trajectory and depends on friends and supporters like you to give them hope for university education and a brighter future not just for themselves, but for their families and communities they are part of.
As always, we remain deeply grateful for your support and look forward to a more enhanced partnership in 2025. May you enjoy a Joyous and Prosperous New Year!!
Warm regards
