STEM Education for 25 Children in South Africa

I hope this report finds you well.

This project was designed to provide tailored technical Information Technology courses to qualifying young women between 18 - 35 years from less privileged communities. This training is to be delivered in a learnership format whereby they receive theoretical classroom learning for a period of 6 months after which they are placed at a workplace for experiential learning for another 6 months.  Training is conducted in learning environments specifically designed to empower learners with technical skills which will give them access to either employment or self-employment. 

First Love Foundation would like to sincerely thank you for your support over the past. With all challenges in the nonprofit space, certainly it is all much easier with your valuable support and of course the joy of making a difference in our community.

However, as we take stock of the objectives we laid out at the beginning of the year and compare these objectives with what we have managed to accomplish to date, a lot of work still needs to be done before we can have adequate impact as laid out in our mission objectives. Our main challenge remains the lack of funding to implement the project and as such we will have to repackage the project so as to attract funding. We will update you as soon as this is done.

We remain committed to the education of children and youth especially girls and all that concerns their rights, which includes their access to education, health, safe housing etc. And so, we remain committed to the cause of high school learners living in less privileged communities and their access to STEM education.

As our supporters, you are not just making monetary donations but in a seemingly hopeless situations, you are giving the recipients hope for a much brighter future. As always, we remain deeply grateful for your support and look forward to a more enhanced partnership.
