STEAM Ahead - Preparing our kids for tomorrow

The pilot projects of our STEAM Ahead! program are running at full tilt. We’ve heard great feedback about the program, including:

• “I feel good because I accomplished something by building my own solution”

STEAM Ahead! is a multi-disciplinary educational program, focussing on the introduction of science, technology, engineering, applied art and math. More than ever, our kids will need to thrive in an innovation-based economy. Acquiring these skills is critical for all young people to ultimately affect change in their own lives and their communities, and pave the way toward a successful future.

When we ask our kids ‘why the like the STEAM Ahead! Program’, this is what we hear back:

• “I am developing self- confidence because I tackled a math problem that looks hard and complicated”
• “I think [STEAM Ahead!] is really a cool club, it teaches us a lot about team work and getting the job done!”
