The State of the Map Colombia 2026 was successfully held in Bogotá as the first Colombian edition of this global initiative. It was organized and supported by the Asociación de Cartografía Colaborativa de Colombia (AC3) and hosted at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (UNAL), whose facilities allowed us to reach a wider audience, especially newcomers who had never engaged with OpenStreetMap or the community behind it.
Although we did not receive the full funding initially expected through GlobalGiving, the event achieved its planned scope thanks to the commitment and resources of AC3. This ensured that participants from diverse backgrounds could join, share knowledge, and strengthen collaborative mapping in Colombia.
