Flooding along the Euphrates River has left thousands of people in Raqqa and Deir Ezzor struggling to access food, clean water, healthcare, and safe shelter. Roads and crossings have been damaged, isolating entire communities. Freedom Jasmine is providing emergency assistance to help families survive this crisis and begin their recovery.
Years of conflict and economic hardship have already weakened communities in northeast Syria. The recent floods have deepened their vulnerability by damaging homes, disrupting transportation routes, and limiting access to essential services. Families are facing shortages of clean water, rising health risks, and loss of income while many villages remain difficult to reach.
Freedom Jasmine is delivering emergency food, safe drinking water, hygiene supplies, shelter support, and cash assistance to affected families. Mobile teams are working to reach isolated communities, identify urgent needs, and provide life-saving aid while supporting vulnerable households as they recover from the immediate impact of the floods.
The project will help vulnerable families meet their basic needs during the emergency and reduce risks associated with displacement, hunger, and waterborne diseases. By restoring access to essential support and strengthening community coping capacities, the project will help affected households recover more safely and with greater dignity.
