Continuing Support for Flood-Affected Families in Syria

By Faiz Alali | Projects Leader

Families in Raqqa and Deir Ezzor continue to face the consequences of severe flooding that damaged homes, farmland, water systems, and essential infrastructure.

For families whose livelihoods depend heavily on agriculture, the impact of losing crops and productive land can continue long after floodwaters recede. Many affected households need support not only to meet immediate needs, but also to begin rebuilding their livelihoods and restoring a sense of stability.

Our project remains focused on supporting vulnerable families with essential assistance such as food, clean drinking water, hygiene supplies, shelter support, health services, and livelihood recovery assistance for affected farmers.

Although this project has not yet received the funding needed to begin its planned response, the needs of flood-affected communities remain significant.

Continued support can help us move toward providing practical assistance to families and farmers working to recover from the damage and rebuild their lives.

We remain committed to standing with affected communities in Syria and supporting their recovery with dignity and resilience.

Thank you for caring about families affected by the floods and for helping keep their needs visible.
