Hello,
It’s been one year since the October 7 attacks - a year of staggering and unimaginable loss and pain. Over 1,100 Israelis were killed on this day and hostages still remain. Since then, over 41,500 Palestinians, including 16,500 children, have been killed and thousands of families displaced, struggling to meet their most basic needs. The violence has spiraled into a regional war, with no end in sight.
In Gaza, the devastation is beyond comprehension. Entire communities have been destroyed. Hospitals that remain are overwhelmed, shelters are at capacity, and families are left without homes, food, or even clean water. Civilians, aid workers, press, and medical personnel live under the constant threat of attack. One year on, nowhere is safe.

In times like these, I know it's easy to think that not much can be done – that the challenges before us seem insurmountable. But ActionAid, and our partners, have been tirelessly working on the ground since the onset. Despite obstacles, we’ve provided emergency food, medical supplies, hygiene kits, emergency shelter, and psychosocial support to those most impacted, reaching almost 237,000 people with immediate humanitarian relief.
Today, however, the need for sustained relief grows greater with each day that this devastation continues. Your continued support is urgently needed now, more than ever.
Fatma, an ActionAid project officer in Gaza, shares the heartbreaking reality:
We may be living in an age of uncertainty, but one thing is for sure: The protracted humanitarian crisis, the toll on human life, and the plight of the Palestinian people cannot be ignored. Your support today ensures that we can continue delivering critical aid and hope to families in Gaza who depend on it, in this moment, like never before.
Together, we can create a future where peace, dignity, and justice for all people, prevail.
Thank you for all that you do.
