The Specchio dei tempi Foundation was present in Sri Lanka since Dec 27, 2004, the first day after the tsunami. Specchio dei tempi donated 85 fishing boats to fishermen who lost theirs, reconstructed 4 schools in Galle, Matara, Hikkadua and Habaraduwa, built the Medical Center in Ibbawale and supports the primary school and kindergarten in Negombo. For the past 12 years, it transformed the Medical Center into the Village of Girls: here, the little victims of abandonment or violence are welcomed.
For the past 12 years, the Specchio dei tempi Foundation has transformed the Medical Center into the Village of Girls: here, the little victims of abandonment or violence (entrusted to us by local courts) are welcomed and accompanied until adulthood, and then assisted in integrating into the workforce. Currently, there are 21 residents, accommodated in two family houses.
