Closure Report - Medical Programme 2025-26

By Iyyappan Subramaniyan | Founder Managing Trustee

Dear Donor,

We sincerely thank you for your continued support in strengthening the medical programme at Sri Arunodayam. Your contribution has enabled us to provide consistent, life-sustaining care to 125 children, many of whom require long-term medical attention.

This year, 40 children received anti-epileptic treatment for seizure management, while 65 children were supported with psychiatric care to improve emotional and behavioural stability. Nutritional support was provided to 89 children, significantly enhancing their immunity and overall health. Additionally, 45 children were given essential hygiene support through daily diaper care, ensuring comfort and dignity.

We managed 12 hospitalisations and facilitated 5 critical surgeries, including complex procedures such as gastrostomy and tracheostomy. These interventions were crucial in stabilising and improving the quality of life for the children.

To promote mobility and independence, assistive devices such as wheelchairs, orthotic supports, and walkers were provided. Preventive care was strengthened through medical camps, benefiting both children and staff, along with TB screening initiatives for early detection.

Our multidisciplinary team—including doctors, nurses, therapists, and caregivers—continues to ensure holistic care. Investments in infrastructure, such as airflow mattresses and in-house medical equipment, have further improved comfort and responsiveness to health needs.

One child’s journey reflects the impact of this programme—a young boy who arrived in a fragile condition has shown gradual improvement through sustained medical care, gaining strength and stability over time.

This year’s journey reflects not only the extent of care provided but also our unwavering commitment to ensuring every child lives with dignity, comfort, and hope.

We remain deeply grateful for your partnership in making this possible.

With your continued support, we are pleased to share that we have launched a new project, “Support Abandoned Intellectually Disabled Children” (Project ID: 75698). We sincerely request you to extend your generous contribution towards this initiative.
