What a remarkable September 28 campaign it has been! International Safe Abortion Day 2025 demonstrated the strength in solidarity of the Unstoppable Abortion Movement, advancing safe abortion globally despite the current political landscape and the rise of anti-rights actors.
The theme for this year’s campaign, “Safe Abortion is Life-saving Healthcare!”, emphasized that access to safe and comprehensive abortion care is a cornerstone of reproductive healthcare and a fundamental human right. The campaign highlighted the urgent need to prioritize sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and justice, including safe abortion, in global health and development agendas as an essential pillar of gender equality and sustainable development.
This year, our initiatives reached millions, combining engaging online content with dynamic offline activities, marking a significant increase in reach and continuing to surpass previous records.
