Thank you for mobilizing during the May 28 International Day of Action for Women's Health. The 2023 actions from across the world highlighted the centrality of SRHR in advancing women's rights and gender equality. Together with young people, local governments, indigenous communities, and local women leaders we called on #SRHR4All.

Interviews reveal that gender equality is essential to young people's empowerment toward access to SRH
WGNRR Africa has conducted a series of focus group discussions and in-depth interviews with youth key informants from six wards in Iringa Municipal Council and four wards in Kilolo District Council. The assessment revealed some gaps in knowledge on young people's SRHR. It also surfaces persisting gender inequality that disempowers young people to access SRH information and services and advocate for positive policy changes. These evidence-gathering efforts are essential to developing capacity building tools under the Sauti ya Vijana project (SYV) of WGNRR Africa. Stay tuned for more!
