Underserved children in Taiwan are lacking resources and suffering from low self-confidence. The Mustard Seed Mission devotes to provide an all-round development for them. With a Community Social Welfare Network, to support vulnerable children in Taiwan in 5 aspects: Safety Needs, Physiological Needs, Social Belonging, Self-Esteem, and Self-Actualization, providing equal chances for them to get educated and empowered; gain courage to overcome the future obstacles, walk stably and independently.
Children from fragile families or dysfunctional families are lacking resources and suffering from low self-identity and low self-confidence. For their parents, it is hard for them to maintain their basic living. Thus, children from these families have less chances to get well educated and explore their own interests. It leads them to the narrowed chances and opportunities in future development.
This project aims to build up a Community Social Welfare Network to provide immediate and holistic support to needy children and their families in the community. We work on 5 aspects to support vulnerable children in Taiwan: Safety Needs, Physiological Needs, Social Belonging, Self-Esteem, and Self-Actualization. From physical to mental, daily supplies to education fees, empowerment to employment; we work on every dimension to provide equal chance for vulnerable children to have a better life.
The project helps 5,000+ children in need with long-term economic subsidy. Needy children will receive education grants, financial aid for emergencies to relieve pressure on the family's economy. Including conducting family events to increase parent-child interaction; providing the talent learning courses to broaden children's horizons; offering employment empowerment programs for youths to find future direction, it's an all-round development program for underserved children in the community.
