During the quarter, Mann Deshi Champions continued to strengthen the holistic development of young athletes through sports training, mental well-being sessions, community engagement, and leadership-building activities.
January 2026
The quarter began with a Sports Psychology Workshop equipping athletes with techniques to build mental resilience, focus, confidence, and emotional well-being. The Indian Republic Day celebration provided children with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the nation’s history through skits, dance performances, and gymnastics displays, fostering patriotism, teamwork, and self-expression.
To strengthen family engagement in the sporting journey of children, Parent-Teacher Meetings were organized across nine villages. These meetings encouraged dialogue around attendance, performance, challenges, and achievements, helping create a stronger support system for young athletes both at home and on the field.
A significant achievement during the month was Arya's outstanding performance at the District-Level Sub-Junior Athletics Championship, where she secured a Gold Medal and earned selection for the State-Level Competition. Her success reflects the impact of consistent coaching, discipline, and community support.
February 2026
A dedicated yoga and wellness session was organized, introducing participants to breathing exercises, stretching techniques, and foundational yoga postures. The session enhanced physical flexibility while also promoting concentration, mindfulness, and stress management.
Recognizing the importance of strengthening grassroots sports ecosystems, coaches conducted a Travel Coach Program for public primary school teachers. Through practical and theoretical sessions, teachers received training in Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, and Track & Field, enabling them to promote structured sports activities within their schools and reach a larger number of children.
Athletes also participated in a hill trek that offered a valuable outdoor learning experience. Beyond recreation, the activity encouraged teamwork, endurance, self-confidence, and an appreciation for nature, contributing to their overall personal development.
March 2026
Despite examination schedules affecting attendance during morning training sessions, athletes remained engaged through a range of educational and motivational activities.
As part of a character-building workshop, participants watched the inspirational film Love All, which highlighted the values of perseverance, hard work, family support, and resilience in overcoming setbacks. The session encouraged reflection on the mindset required to achieve success both in sports and in life.
The athletes also celebrated Holika Dahan, embracing local cultural traditions and reinforcing values of community participation, cultural pride, and social connectedness.
International Women's Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm through sports competitions designed specifically for women and girls. The event created a platform for participation, recognition, and confidence-building, while reinforcing the importance of gender equality and women's leadership in sports.
To further strengthen sports education in rural schools, an Advanced Travel Coach Program was organized at the Mann Deshi Champions Sports Facility. Teachers from public schools received advanced theoretical and practical training in Athletics, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, and Track & Field, enhancing their capacity to mentor and support young athletes in their communities.
Quarterly Impact
This quarter demonstrated the program’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded athletes by combining sports excellence with mental wellness, leadership development, cultural engagement, and community participation. Through athlete achievements, parent engagement, teacher capacity-building, and opportunities for personal growth, Mann Deshi Champions continues to create pathways for rural youth, especially girls, to build confidence, pursue excellence, and realize their full potential both on and off the field.
