In August 2013, The 11th Edition of OBC Basketball Tournament was to take place in Cote d'Ivoire. Multiple teams were to participate in that tournament for all ages! Given that basketball is not well organized in Ghana, our members do not get the chance to compete and measure themselves against others. Therefore this trip to Ivory Coast was meant to give a total of 30 players the chance to travel, get exposure, learn a new culture, practicing another language and PLAY.
However, at the same time AFRO Basket, a world renoun FIBA competition was taking place in Cote d'Ivoire and the tournament had to be postponed. As an old saying goes: Plans are made to be changed!
A great trip was awaiting for our 30 selected members. In deed, On Thursday, we embarked on a trip to Kumasi were Basketball, the Manhyia Palace, a swim at the pool, and more Basketball was on the agenda. We ended our great journey at Orphan Aid in Dodowa to visit our friends from Dynasty Basketball Camp and play some friendly matches. Thank to those who made it possible.
It is an experience our members will cherish for the rest of their lives!
