It has been more tha a year since the devastating floods reshaped the lives of thousands of families in our region, and your support continues to be a vital force in our recovery. Thanks to your generosity, our project “Sport and Education for Children Affected by Floods” has been able to bring joy, stability, and meaningful learning experiences to dozens of children living in the hardest-hit areas.
Over the past few months, we have conducted weekly basketball and educational sessions. These activities have not only supported physical and mental health but have also helped restore routines and a sense of belonging for the children involved. We’ve organized physical training and integrated social-emotional learning into our sessions — empowering kids to dream again and believe in a brighter future.
Unfortunately, the new wave of floods has damaged our region (roads, schools, and many other locals). Some families we’ve been working with have lost their homes for a second time. Despite these challenges, our team remains committed, adapting quickly to continue serving the children in the safest and most caring way possible. Our team and partners have shown resilience, often adapting activities to more accessible areas.
This project is not just a series of activities — it’s a safe harbor in the storm. It’s where children find structure, safety, and support.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support is a powerful reminder that even in the face of repeated adversity, community and compassion can rebuild hope.
