SPONSOR VULNERABLE ORPHAN & OUT OF SCHOOL CHILDREN

Dear Donor,

According to Unicef, an estimated 153 million children are orphans in the world and the Federal ministry of women’s Affairs in Nigeria in 2014, has noted that orphans and vulnerable children in Nigeria can be estimated to be about 17.5 million. Unfortunately, only 7.3 million of these children are placed in orphanages, because Nigeria has only about 2000 orphanages available in all the 36 states. These shows there's a dearth of accommodation and subsequent care for these neglected children. Regrettably, there is a severe lack of recent data to understand what the state of situation is now but one can assume that the numbers will have increased exponentially.                                                                                     

MOCAFON after submitting the due diligence application and vetting was approved by GlobalGiving in August 2024, which gave us a global platform to make this clarion campaign of supporting orphans.

We have brought more than 58 pupils to nearby schools which has really helped the challenge of limited access to school. Supplying of Educational Materials, Distribution of textbooks, school uniforms, school bags, and digital learning tools to pupils has been on hold due to funds availability. This Support Program is supposed to offer scholarships and financial assistance to cover school fees, uniforms, and learning materials for underprivileged children but due to lack of funds we have not commence, but we have mobilized them to go back to school and wait for our support interm of the incentives.

We are trusting God for all our donors via GlobalGiving campaign to raise the total budget $5,000 estimated for the project.
