Donor Recognition at April Board Meeting

By Robert L Cowan | Treasurer and Director

The April Board meeting of The Coaniquem Burned Children Fondaion  will Recognize those US donors who have made a significant impact on the burned children of the southern Americas. The meeting will be held in both Santiago, at the headquarters of Coaniquem BCF but also ath the Southern most Coaniquem Clinic in Puerto Montt. At both locations the Honorees will tour the various Coaniquem facilities and attend seminars.  The support of these honorees has been invaluable to our mission, especially for providing critical equipment, and pioneering innovative projects to treat cildhood burns.,

During 2024 Coaniquem treated 7,600 children. It should be noted that treatment includes many visits, or even residency, for the child. Burn treatment continues until the child reaches adulthoood.

In addition to burn treatment, Coaniquem continues to train educators, social leaders and health professionals from LATAM countries in rehabilitatio and advanced wound management. Last year over 2,000 professionals recieved some type of training. Anew method was instituted that uses the WhatsApp Burn Care Helpline for Orientation sessions.
