Touchlives Albert Foundation, through its "Environmental Sanitation and Sensitization Awareness Campaign," distributes free waste bins to market traders, runs climate-sanitation awareness campaigns, and provides safe water for rural and smi-urban community members in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
Every morning, resilient market families in Rivers State set up stalls under a blistering sun, but a silent crisis threathens them. Stripped of dignity, they lack safe water and waste tools. Trash clogs gutters, and when heavy climate rains hit, toxic water floods their stalls, spreading typhoid and cholera. Mothers should'nt have to choose between earning a living or seeing their children fall ill. They are fighting climate change completely empty-handed.
To restore dignity and health, our organization has launched a vital intervention. Through our 'Environmental Sanitation and Sensitization Awareness Campaign,' we distribute free waste bins directly to petty traders to stop open dumping and keep market drains clear. Alonside this, we install sustainable clean water systems and run passionate climate education drives, empowering rural and semi-urban communities to protect their health from the inside out.
Your support builds a self-sustaining culture of environmental safety. By providing clean water and waste bins, we permanently wipe out waterborne diseases, keeping children in classrooms and mothers thriving in clean markets. We are transforming vulnerable spaces into climate-resilient environments. Your gift restores human dignity, gives a child safe water, and secures a healthy, thriving future for generations to come.
