Anaweza Update - October 2025

Greetings,
Anaweza has recently had the pleasure of graduating some of our first scholars from college and university programs. This marks a full circle moment from the start of our program meeting these children in primary school until now. They will continue as part of the Anaweza family to set leadership examples in their community and build strong professional networks in their chosen fields. Additionally, the team will strongly encourage continued mentorship for the next generation of scholars as we grow the program into the future.
As previously mentioned in our June report, we planned and hosted another successful event - this one for Children's Day 2025. We enjoyed a wonderful turnout of donors and first time attendees for a day of learning and collaborative activities that brought smiles out of all who participated.
Through the end of the year, the Anaweza team will work diligently to raise funds, introduce our mission to new people, and most importantly - support our scholars through their educational journey and beyond.

Anaweza update - June 2025

Greetings,
Over the last few months, everyone on the Anaweza Team has continued to work diligently to acheive our goal of providing the best outcomes for our children. Specifically, we have spent time planning for the next generation of children we will admit into our program upon the graduation of our current group. This exercise of planning for the future brings joy and excitement to our Team as we all envision a bright future where we can continue to positively impact the vulnerable youth of Kenya.
As we provide this report, we are also in the final stages of planning for our Children's Day fundraiser on Saturday, June 7th where we hope to inform and grow our audience all while having a day of fun with food, music, and activities for all!
We will continue to host local events and work to spread our message for a brighter future. As noted in the previous progress report, this is not just a mission. It is a movement—a movement to uplift, empower, and transform. With continued support and unwavering faith, Anaweza will continue to shine as a beacon of hope, proving that through education, dreams can indeed come true.

Anaweza update - February 2025

Greetings,
We are thrilled to give you an update on what we have been up to since the inception of this project and the plans we have for the near future. Our children are doing well and are continuing to thrive. Some of them have recently hit important milestones in their educational careers. One child in particular has recently graduated from high school and obtained an aggregate grade of A-. She received A grades in Mathematics, Chemistry, and in Agriculture. Out of a class of 843, she was one of only 17 students who obtained this high-level grade. This child was raised in a household with very limited resources and is now on her way to university. Her future looks bright!
There are many things about Anaweza that bring us great joy. Foremost, it gives us great joy to watch our children make great strides in their educational advancement. At this point, 19 of our children are pursuing university and college education at different institutions in Kenya. This year, nine of these students will be graduating from college.
We continue to host local events and work to spread our message about the impact we can have on creating exceptional outcomes for children who otherwise have limited prospects for breaking out of poverty. This is not just a mission. It is a movement—a movement to uplift, empower, and transform. With continued support and unwavering faith, Anaweza will continue to shine as a beacon of hope, proving that through education, dreams can indeed come true.
