The Habibots project began on September 24th at the San Juan Children's Center, where children over two years old are developing their skills through Robotics. The methodology approach is LEGO's Learning by Doing, where its activities promote critical thinking and motor skills, as well as life skills like teamwork, creativity, effective problem solving, communication and flexibility of gender roles which promote an environment of respect and camaraderie.
Habibots is a pilot that is being evaluated by children and families, educators and our atelier to make sure their incorporation into the quality service offered by the DEHVI Foundation, as long as it is consistent and adaptable to our pedagogical inspiration.
From the first day the girls and boys were enthusiastic to let their imagination fly and to build their dreams with LEGO, sharing in their homes the fantastic adventure that Mondays live in classes. Families, educators and the community will also have the opportunity to approach technologies through workshops and exhibitions, breaking technological barriers and fostering interest in science and technology in children.
