Summary

This project will fund the production of a youth-focused anti-drug film titled "Not Too Young to Quit." The film will be developed by our organization to raise awareness about drug abuse among young people. It will include real stories, relatable scenes, and local voices to engage students, out-of-school youth, and those living in informal communities. The film will be screened in schools, youth centers, and through mobile outreach to reach areas where drug use is spreading quietly but rapidly.

Challenge

Drug use among Nigerian youth is rising, with serious effects showing up in schools and communities. Some students now use drugs during school hours, leading to poor behavior, physical fights, and in some cases, assault of other students, including girls. Many young people do not fully understand the risks linked to drug use. In low-income areas, open discussions about these problems are rare, & students often get their information from peers or online sources that may encourage dangerous choice

Solution

This project will produce 'Not Too Young to Quit'-a hard-hitting Ant-Drug film exposing the dangers of drug abuse through real-life Nigerian youth stories. Designed by and for young people, the film uses local language, slang, and relatable scenarios to warn students before addiction starts. We'll screen it in 50+ schools, homes, slums, & online, with follow-up counseling and rehab contacts for at-risk viewers. Your support will fund production, screenings, and a lifeline for those seeking help.

Long-Term Impact

This film will influence many generations to come. By educating 50,000+ youth now, we'll prevent future addiction cycles, reduce drug-related crime, and empower healthier communities. The project's sustainable model trains student ambassadors to continue prevention efforts, while collected data will help shape national anti-drug policies. Success could lead to government adoption of our film for nationwide school programs, potentially protecting millions of adolescents from addiction.
