Girls in Eastern Uganda continue to face significant barriers that limit their access to quality education and opportunities for personal development. Many families struggle with poverty, making it difficult to afford school fees, uniforms, learning materials, and other educational necessities. As a result, many girls are at risk of dropping out of school or never completing their education. The Sponsor & Mentor 1,500 Girls in Eastern Uganda Project seeks to address these challenges by providing educational sponsorship, literacy support, mentorship, leadership development, and digital literacy training. By removing barriers to education and creating supportive learning environments, the project will help girls stay in school, improve academic performance, build confidence, and develop the skills needed to achieve their full potential and contribute positively to their in Bugiri dist

Long-Term Impact

This project will create lasting opportunities for 1,500 girls in Eastern Uganda by helping them stay in school, improve their literacy skills, and gain the confidence needed to pursue their goals. Through education, mentorship, and digital skills training, girls will be better prepared for higher education, employment, entrepreneurship, and leadership roles in their communities. Over time, the project is expected to reduce school dropout rates, early marriages, and teenage pregnancies.
