Sponsor the treatment of 50 Diabetic Patients

Nasreen, a spirited widow who resides in Niazi Colony, Gujranwala, has faced numerous health and financial challenges over the years. For 14 years, she has been living with Type II Diabetes Mellitus, and for the past six years, she has also battled hypertension and hyperlipidemia. Despite her chronic conditions, Nasreen has remained committed to her health, although limited financial resources often made consistent treatment difficult.

Before receiving structured care, Nasreen was prescribed insulin (Mixtard 30) alongside oral hypoglycemic agents (OHAs), and she was also on medication to manage her blood pressure and cholesterol levels. However, due to poverty, her use of insulin was irregular and largely dependent on need (SOS basis), and she was unable to adhere to a consistent medication schedule. This led to poorly controlled blood sugar and lipid levels.

In July 2024, Nasreen visited SHINE Humanity’s Gharibsons Clinic in Gharo and was enrolled in the Diabetes & Hypertension Treatment (DHT) Program, marking a turning point in her health journey.
