In Nigeria, children from impoverished backgrounds face severe educational challenges that hinder their future. Many vulnerable kids struggle to afford school fees and essentials like books, shoes, bags, and uniforms. Poor school facilities compound these challenges with overcrowded classrooms. At Renbi, we are committed to tackling this issue head-on. Our goal is to support 2,000 children by 2026, ensuring that we provide access to education and improve the quality of learning environments.
The Nigerian educational system faces significant challenges that jeopardize children's futures. High poverty levels compel many families to withdraw their children from school, contributing to UNICEF's alarming report of 18.3 million out-of-school children in 2024. Students often attend classes in torn uniforms and inadequate footwear, resorting to plastic bags for backpacks. Overcrowded classrooms and poor facilities like ceilings and toilets hinder the children's access to quality education.
Our Renbi Education Fund program is dedicated to improving educational access for 2,000 underprivileged children in Nigeria by 2026. We aim to alleviate the financial challenges faced by disadvantaged families by covering school fees and providing essential educational materials like shoes, bags, uniforms, and writing supplies. Furthermore, we intend to renovate overcrowded classrooms, ensuring that each child has access to a safe and nurturing learning environment.
Having sponsored hundreds of children, we have observed the significant impact of our initiatives. We aim to expand our support to more children and public schools, helping them stay in education and off the streets. By promoting educational opportunities for these children and their families, we will cultivate role models within their communities, inspiring others to pursue their education. By renovating school facilities, we will ensure that children receive the quality education they deserve.
