Save the lives of 100 Hepatitis C patients

Zeenat along with her husband, Taj M, and their six children live in a small rented house in New Abadi, Market City, District Thatta, Sindh. Their home consists of just one room, where the entire family stays together. Taj M is a laborer who earns a living by driving someone else's tractor daily. This is their only source of income, which barely covers the family’s basic expenses.

 Zeenat often visited the SHINE Humanity Gharo Clinic for her routine checkups. One day, when she came to see the doctor, she was offered a Hepatitis screening test at our Hepatitis screening kiosk. Her HCV test came back positive, leaving her deeply worried. The kiosk team reviewed her medical history and immediately collected her PCR sample. When the PCR results arrived, it was confirmed that she had Hepatitis C.

 This news was an emotional and financial challenge for Zeenat and her family, as they were already struggling to meet their daily needs. However, thanks to the SHINE Humanity Hepatitis Services, she was able to start her treatment completely free of cost on October 4, 2024. First, her necessary medical tests were completed, and then she was provided with a full three-month treatment along with Hepatitis B vaccination. This relieved her of various symptoms she had been experiencing, such as stomach burning, body heat, dizziness, and body aches. On the final day of her treatment, Zeenat expressed her gratitude and happiness.
