Ubuntu was rescued as a stray and thanks to support from people like you, he was given a second chance at happiness. We hope to share Ubuntu's experience with many other dogs just like him.
There are a staggeringly high number of stray an abandoned animals needing care and treatment in Cape Town. Ubuntu was one such animal - he was found hungry and cold curled up on a pile of rubble. Thankfully we were able to bring him back to our adoption centre where he could be seen by vets and given a second chance at finding happiness. Sadly for so many other strays, they will continue to live a life on the streets vulnerable to disease, cruelty and hunger. This is why we need your help.
Ubuntu ( named after the spirit of compassion to all living beings ) is just one dog - his story is one like so many other stray dogs left alone, sick and hungry wandering the streets. This Mandela Day, Unbuntu is our reminder that we can all make a difference to the lives of strays dogs and help reduce the number of strays on our streets.
To reduce the number of strays and increase adoptions of rescue dogs.
