Thank you friends for your support to our initiatives to support children in need and distress.
We are currently running more than 50 Study Centers in Tirupati and Madanapalli towns in the state of Andhra Pradesh. We are catering to more than 1350 children. The project has 58 tutors, 7 coordinators, 2 Project Managers and a Director.
With support from you and other sources, we have been running these centers for more than 2 years. Most of the beneficiary children are victims of Covid19 - they lost parents or their parents lost their livelihood. This project helps children in getting back to school and improving their basic skills in Sciences and Math and Languages.
Some of these children have got admission in Gurukul institutions in Andhra Pradesh. Some children have got admission in good Colleges (STD XI and XII).
We provide tutoring for one hour in the class and in the next hour, we provide training in health and hygiene, behavior and manners. We conduct special classes for girls on Good Touch - Bad Touch. Everyday, we provide snacks to the children attending these classes.
Every month, we conduct a tutor’s meet and discuss new interventions and ensure sustainability of the project in the long run.
