This project seeks to establish Study Centers for School Going Children at Villages in Tirupati municipalities of Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh to help 750 to 800 school going children who live in the 20 slums and 30 centers of Tirupati. These study centers will help children improve their standards in terms of their academics and behavioral aspects and build confidence in them to take on bigger challenges in life.
In Tirupati, there are more than 1000 families live below the poverty line. They are earn by rag-picking, scavenging and working on daily wages. They go to work early in the morning and come home late evening and do not have time to spend with children and encourage them to do well in their studies. The children get addicted to alcohol, gutka etc. They is little concern about health and hygiene. These children need assistance, guidance and training in their after-school hours.
The program provides these children an opportunity to complete their homework and get any of their questions answered, to increase their concentration levels and improve their understanding levels in various subjects, improve their social interaction with their peers. We focus on improving children's behavior and hygiene. We work with school teachers to identify and address areas of concern for individual children. provide an environment to improve their overall personality of our children
Better understanding of concepts in various subjects improves scores. Helps children bring out their hidden talents and harness the hidden potentials and skills within them and hone them by organizing activities in these centers. Overall improvement in behavior of the children, their health and hygiene and sense of responsibility towards society Lowers dropout rate in schools as we work closely with the school teachers
