In this report, we would like to highlight the journey of one of our children.

Hazra lost her father Mr Vali in an accident in Chittor when she was 3. Since then she has been cared for by her mother Shama. The family belongs to Tirupati. Shama being illiterate, sought the help of Sphoorti Foundation to help her learn well. The school she was attending did not have enough number of teachers to deliver coursework properly. 

Hazra has been attending our evenig classes in Tirupati for the last 3 years. She has picked up basics in Telugu, Math and Environmental Science. 

In addition to helping her complete her home assignments, we also help her learn music and dance as well as public speaking. Through the help of our donors, we have also improved her nutrition by providing evening snacks, give them exposure to outside world through excursions to parks and zoo.

Hazra is a hard working child and has been showing promise. She wants to be a Doctor in future and serve children who cannot afford healthcare. 

In this report, we would like to share the objectives of the Study Centers

These objectives collectively shape the comprehensive approach of the Centers, aiming to empower children not only academically but also emotionally, socially, and culturally.

• To provide academic support and guidance to children from low-income families who lack support for education at home.
• To create a comfortable and healthy environment for children to do their homework and receive additional support in learning.
• To improve the academic performance and motivation of children, leading to a decrease in drop-out rates.
• To organize women's self-help groups and awareness programs to promote overall growth and development of children.
• To promote unity and harmony among different religious and community groups through celebrating important festivals together.
• To conduct regular health check-ups and provide nutrition support to children, focusing on improving their overall well-being.
• To instil social, moral, and cultural values in children and help them cope with psychological problems.
• To provide educational and recreational facilities for skill acquisition and personal hygiene education.
• To improve children's self-esteem by recognizing and developing their hidden talents.
• To support children with necessary school uniforms, clothes, and study material to ensure they have the necessities for education.
• To involve parents in monthly meetings and provide feedback and motivation for their children's academic progress.
• To promote higher education and change attitudes towards investing in education among parents and communities.
• To act as role models for the younger generation and develop innate skills for excellence.
