Hello GlobalGiving community!
Destiny they say can be delayed but can never be denied. I am so happy to share with you all the news of my marriage to Mariama. She is someone I met a very long time ago and now we have decided to make our bond official and start a family. A decision I am proud of and will never regret. Made for each other so we rise up above the challenges and we made the decision to become one now and forever.
Thank you Allah for making this happen, we give you the glory.
To our families, we are happy for your support and we thank you.
To our friends and loved ones, I say thank you.

Let it rain

Hello Everyone,
summer is here and for us here in Sierra Leone, that means it is time for rain. Things slow down and for me, it is always a time reflector. This last year has been quite difficult for many of us, yet I feel blessed to be alive and to have a new baby girl in my life. As you know, this project is about the death of my girlfriend Fatmata. and for many people, Fatmata is gone but for me, she still lives. I feel her presence everywhere even in my bedroom and she continues to Speak to me Through Dreams. I am presently preparing some new creative filming for the project and look forward to sharing soon.
In the last three months there have also been ups and downs in my career. My film "Lady P and the Sex Work Sisterhood" has received a huge reception both locally and internationally. it was broadcast on BBC Africa eye a few months back and the number of views on youtube now above 2 million speaks volumes of the reach it has. I am very proud of this powerful piece of media and the awareness it is raising in the world. It also shares a tragic similarity to this project project "Speaking Through Dreams" - and that is when it comes to violence against women in Sierra Leone we need to fight extra hard to find justice. I believe in both of these projects and I know this platform can make a difference which is why I am pleading with you to please share my GlobalGiving page and support me again if you are able so that I can complete another amazing film that will break more boundaries and bring me to higher heights.
