During the three months from oct to Dec 2013, a total of 3686 stray dogs and 88 cats have been sterilized, vaccinated and released. Blue Cross is continuing its work on animal birth control incessantly. A huge number of dogs and cats are also being rescued and treated. Meet Blackie, a homeless cat, who was rescued a few months back and is undergoing treatment. He has hurt both his forelegs and a surgery is planned next month to make him walk again. Blackie loves people and is cooperative with the treatment. He sits quietly by himself and loves to play with other kittens. Blackie is currently being cared for in a foster home and will return to the shelter once he has fully recovered from the surgery.
