World Vision Taiwan is raising money for assisting those families affected by the earthquake in rebuilding homes and hope. One of our major plans is Education Aid Program. This a three years program which will provide education materials, tuition aid, afterschool program to children from disadvantage families affected by earthquake.
2015 February 6, a 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck southeast of Tainan, a city home to around two million people in Taiwan. It caused widespread damage, 117 deaths and over 500 injured. World Vision is dedicating to help families in need to recover and rehabilitate. This education will help reducing families' financial stress, and also ensure children receive continuing education after the disaster happened.
As the Education Aid Program, World Vision Taiwan plans to assist disadvantage families affected by earthquake to reduce financial stress through providing education materials and tuition aid for their children. In addition, World Vision Taiwan will provide after-school program enable students continue receiving education support and resources.
This three years plan will assist children from disadvantage famillies with severely damaged houses. Total number of service receiver is estimate to be 520.
