This project aims to support people affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Our Polish Humanitarian Action Emergency Relief Team is on the site to assess the scale of the needs and immediately begin relief efforts, which will focus on humanitarian assistance in the form of food/hygiene kits and shelter. Support this fundraising and help us respond as soon as possible!
A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale struck south-eastern Turkey overnight on February 6, and current figures estimate that more than 5,000 people were killed, WHO says earthquake could affect up to 23 million. The number of casualties, both in Turkey and Syria, could be much higher, as many people are still trapped under rubble or out of contact.
Our Polish Humanitarian Action Emergency Relief Team is on site to assess the scale of the needs and immediately begin relief efforts, which will focus on humanitarian assistance in the form of food parcels, hygiene parcels and shelter. It is known that the needs are enormous, as hundreds of thousands of people have lost all their life's possessions and the roof over their heads due to the cataclysm.
This project aims to deliver immediate humanitarian aid such as food and hygiene kits and shelter to earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. The situation is changing dynamically, so the funds raised will allow us to adjust our activities accordingly and provide assistance that meets the most urgent needs.
