When she was in Afghanistan last month, Bpeace Board Chair, Laurie Chock, met with Sora. Laurie reports: “Sora is a star entrepreneur. She has big ideas for potato chips and with an entrepreneur's passion exclaimed, ‘I’ve been dreaming of chips since I was six years old!’
“There is no doubt in our minds that she will succeed. Sora's potato chip business will create jobs and improve many lives beyond the direct impact to the workers in her factory; she will be connecting the poor potato farmers of Bamiyan to a new supply chain and will be using Afghan-produced oil for the cooking of her chips. Currently, Sora is applying for loans and investigating equipment. Together we can help her up the path to success.”
