Christmas at the Grenoble pediatric oncology
It is so beautiful and gratifying to feel right, to feel important, to feel that we are doing good.
For this Christmas Eve, Titi and Rosalie, two Soleil Rouge clowns, were lulled by smiles, bravo, thanks, shared dances, cuddles, you are wonderful, you are awesome, flash, complicit glances, laughter, complicity.
“Our action is always charged with emotion but on holidays there is a little trick that binds us even more to the people we meet”.
On December 24th, during the evening Titi and Rosalie entered the sick children rooms, unplugged the TV, connected the faceted ball (installed on an infusion stand) and put the music to the bottom (compiles the best music of the moment with the Queen of Snows for the younger patients, Justin Bieber and co for the teens and Madonna for the moms).
The rooms turned directly into a nightclub! Phosphorescent bracelets distributed to all: babies fascinated by turning lights, dad and mum dancing, a grandfather making a tap dance demonstration, teens laughing and dancing for those who cannot move (dancing fingers for those who are not able to move in the bed). Then, 5 nurses came and join a child room to wiggle with us, a dad tries too wear Rosalie’s high heels….
In the pediatric oncology department, it was a great Christmas CELEBRATION!!!
Thank you all and Happy new year !!!
