Tanzsolar is in the final stages of upgrading the LED lighting systems at the school to provide brighter LED lights. The students and teachers have expressed their thanks for making the LED lighting system brighter. In addition Tanzsolar has started an effort to reward the best girls students in each class room stream with a new portable NIWA solar LED lantern with phone charging so that they will be able to study after dark at home. It is sometimes unsafe for the girls students to come to the school to study at night and then return home safely. If the first phase of this effort is successful based on the views of the girls students,teachers,school board, Tanzsolar will make plans to try and provide these LED lights to as many girls students who are in need of solar lighting at home. The school board has accepted the challenge to be responsible for security and some fund raising to provide upkeep of the school solar system. Tanzsolar will attempt to provide the oportunity for cooperation between the school board,teachers,students and Tanzsolar to improve and provide solar lighting to as many rural schools as possible.
