Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting the Solar-Powered Tablets for 500 Medical Students project. We are grateful for your generosity and belief in the future of healthcare education in Nigeria.
Across many medical schools, students face challenges that go beyond tuition fees. Access to current textbooks, lecture materials, research publications, and digital learning tools remains limited for many aspiring healthcare professionals. In areas with unreliable electricity, even students who own mobile phones struggle to keep them charged for academic use. These barriers can affect learning, exam preparation, and clinical training.
We appreciate the support received so far. However, the funds available are not yet sufficient to begin implementation of the project. Additional support is needed before tablets, solar charging kits, and educational resources can be procured and distributed.
This project aims to provide solar-powered tablets preloaded with medical textbooks, lectures, and learning materials to students who need them most. The inclusion of solar charging kits will allow beneficiaries to continue studying even in communities where electricity supply is poor or unavailable.
Medical education depends heavily on access to accurate and up-to-date information. Without adequate learning resources, students may find it difficult to fully develop the knowledge and skills required for modern healthcare practice. Improving access to educational materials can help strengthen their training and better prepare them for future service.
We remain committed to this initiative and hopeful that increased support will allow implementation to begin. As progress is made, we look forward to sharing updates, photographs, and stories from the students who will benefit from this project.
Thank you for investing in the education of future healthcare professionals and the communities they will one day serve.
Warm regards,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
