JPIIJPC, in partnership with M-LISADA Organisation, continues to support efforts to combat human trafficking and protect vulnerable children in Uganda. Through this collaboration, children rescued from the streets were provided with shelter, education support, psychosocial care, skills development, and empowerment interventions aimed at promoting recovery and long-term wellbeing.
Obed Tumusabe and Dirisa Magala were enrolled in the M-LISADA Bridge Education Program at the Kampala Centre, while Deborah Petro, Masaru Petro, and Deborah’s 8-month-old baby were received at the M-LISADA Kalangala Centre for protection and holistic support services.
In addition, JPIIJPC is planning a National Dialogue on Human Trafficking in July 2026 and a National Prayer Day Against Human Trafficking in September 2026 to strengthen awareness, advocacy, and collective action against trafficking in persons in Uganda.
