Currently, 70% of public health centres in rural communities in Uganda do not have access to electricity of which 3 out of every 4 health centres are without access to reliable power,1 in 4 health facilities in rural communities are without access to any power at all. This Project will provide health care facilities with installation of 1200 W solar panels, 20 kWh batteries of powered lighting system for 10 health centres in the vulnerable communities to handle emergency health situations,

SOLAR ENERGY POWERING HEALTH CARE project in Uganda will improve access to energy services with installation of 1200 W panels, 20 kWh batteries for 10 health centres in the vulnerable communities. By Harnessing the abundant solar energy, the Project offers a sustainable, reliable, and cost effective solution, providing uninterrupted electricity to support healthcare services.
The Project will in a long run provide reliable solar powered lighting systems, health care workers will Increase the ability to handle emergency situations, enhance proper vaccine storage, reduction of preventable deaths, ensure health care centres can offer services during evenings and catering to the needs of the community round the clock Furthermore, Adopting solar energy, healthcare facilities will reduce their reliance on fossil fuels, contribution to a cleaner and greener environment
