Socio-emotional learning for young people Brazil

Instituto Revoar ended this first semester by completing the first stage of the Educators in Connection Project, an intensive training for educators and municipal managers in Correntina, Bahia.

Educators in Connection is an experiential project where we invite participants to experience socio-emotional skills in themselves, in a process of self-research, in addition to a theoretical and practical approach to building socio-emotional classes and drawing up a Socio-emotional Plan for the school.

In this first semester we held 12 virtual meetings, 2 face-to-face meetings, for a total of 49 hours of training, held from March to June. There were many first-hand experiences, exchanges, reflections and learning among 35 educators and the Revoar team, indirectly impacting more than 1,000 students. In addition to this intensive process with the 35 educators, we were also able to reach more than 200 educators in the network, participating in the training process run by the Municipal Education Department and giving a lecture on Socio-Emotional Education.

We also carried out an evaluation process of this first stage where we were able to learn about the learning and experience of the participants. The expected results for this process were fully achieved, as the educators have already started to put socio-emotional education into practice in the classrooms.
