You helped us make it happen and it was great!

Dear Revoar's friends and supporters,

You helped us make it happen! And we are very thankful because it was a great experience with positive and consistency results as you can see with this three testimonies:

Thank you! Spread the word. Look for more young people, especially among Black and marginalized youth! Every young person should have access to these opportunities. Congratulations to all involved!” (V.M., participant)

“I can only be thankful, from the opportunity to keep in touch via e-mail, where I received the invitation from the CIEE to take the course, which is related to my area of training, to the opportunity for personal self-deepening, the meetings were lighthearted, enlightening, animated, with incredible exchanges and I finish satisfied with the course, I believe the mission was very well accomplished.”(Q.A, participant)

“The course was wonderful! It made me think about my priorities and how to plan for my future. It was a really great experience. I can say that I feel more confident.” (A.C, participant)

The project Vocational Awakening and Life Project carried out by Instituto Revoar in partnership with Department of Social-Human Rights Education and with the Center for Business-School Integration ( CIEE) took place in August and September 2021. The project was carried out in synchronous and asynchronous format, with six online and live meetings lasting 2 hours each, with a synchronous workload of 10 hours of activities, and approximately 6 hours of asynchronous activities. The project had a total workload of 16 hours.

The project started with the participation of 30 young people aged between 23 and 30 who had already participated in a training project coordinated by the CIEE, but most of whom were outside the labor market and needed support for this moment of search for a professional activity. Of the 30 young people who started the course, 28 received the certificate of completion after fulfilling the requirement of being present and building a life project.

At the end of the process, participants filled out an evaluation questionnaire and we are happy to share with you some of the results:

  • 100% of the young participants rated the course as excellent (maximum grade).
  • 100% of the young participants felt that the Course supported them in their lives at this time.
  • The project methodology was considered VERY GOOD for 100% of the participants

The main reasons that the participants pointed out as justification for the evaluations they gave were:

1) the process carried out contributed to making them feel more confident and motivated.

2) have greater clarity about themselves and connected with their dreams, skills, values and interests.

3) they managed to set goals for the short to medium term and identified ways to reach these goals consolidated in the life project.

Despite the limitations of the online format, the applied methodology seeks to create a welcoming and trusting environment, and this was perceived throughout the process where young people could express themselves, listen and support each other, guided by the Revoar facilitators.

We believe that the project has had very positive results and, once again, we thank every supporter of our work.

In the attached document we share more results, testimonies and photos of the project!

Gratefully yours,

Instituto Revoar
