This project aims to raise public awareness about the mistreatment and misshandling of wild animals in Bolivia. The target audiences are young people and children of Cochabamba, La Paz and Santa Cruz. It seeks to introduce new educational and artistic alternatives as a means of socialization and public awareness. Our project uses interactive methods to influence negative behavior towards animals. With your support you help us strengthen the collective conscience regarding animal respect.
Wild animal trafficking in our country is the main problem that our wildlife faces, and it extends worldwide. It is the third largest illicit trade in the world. This fact is very alarming because through the misshandling of animals, people unconsciously use wildlife in a cruel way. They are mainly used for their fur, to be sold as pets or for traditional activities. Through illegal animal trade, the public is deceived about the origin and treatment of the animal
The project, to some extent, will help curb the ownership of wild animals in the city by informing people about the risks of buying illegal animals . If demand slows down, trafficking also slows down. Through workshops and artistic interventions, the project seeks to achieve its main goals which include: generating global consciousness about the negative aspects of wild animal trafficking and promoting the respect of animals among the young people of Bolivia.
We expect to reduce the demand for wild animals in Bolivia in order to reduce the supply of animal products or illicit pets. The project aims at increasing the awareness of this issue; it also expects to protect certain natural areas home to species that are at risk of being trafficked. The project will achieve its goals through workshops, distribution of 10 photos, 10 short videos, 1000 informational postcards and 6 artistic murals around the country that will reach over 3,000 people
