On September 8th a team of 8 voluteers wanted to help the elderly in their neighbourhood. Fortunately there was a home called 'Waterhof' that was in need of some help. They have a beautiful garden for their clients, but with every garden, it needs to be taken care of.
Waterhof has an elderly volunteer who tries to maintain the garden. She does a great job, but unfortunately, because of her age and disabilities she can't do everything that is necessary. And now with the winter coming, the garden was in desperate need of some extra attention.
The group came bright and early on Saturday morning and was ready for the work. Present had the gardening tools ready and made sure that everybody knew what they had to do. The group did a fine job and was very moved by the reaction of the elderly that came along. Exactly the things that they couldn't do, were done by this group.
After the work they drank a nice cup of coffee together and enjoyed each others company, but mostly, they ejoyed the gardening which was ready for the new season!
