Innovative Education For Women Transformation

By James Claude Mutyaba | Executive Director

Education is undoubtedly the most important tool to realize women and girl’s destiny of a prosperous, integrated and peaceful future as well as helping them to secure their rightful position in their community. Education plays a transformative role that enhances sustained growth, competitiveness and economic transformation of women and girls and well as ensuring their access to quality and equitable opportunities. Innovative education for transformation of women and girls is in line with SDG 4 on Education agenda and 2030 Continental Education Strategy for Africa (CESA) which aim at contributing to create a sustainable future During this period under review, Empowerment For the Poor-Uganda’s Education program has focused at promoting technical inventions and social innovations that are enhancing access, quality, relevance, school security, learning achievement, financing, employability of young girls which eradicates household level poverty, reducing youth unemployment, controlling preventable ill-health, in Mityana district of Uganda. Within a period of 4 months, a total of 31 women and youth have been trained in innovative education which involved teaching youth with vocational, business and entrepreneurship, leadership and community health studies. We hope that with this kind of education, trainees will be able to identify opportunities, exploit every situation, innovate, enrich knowledge and fit in their hostile communities as well as helping them to adapt to the needs of the rapidly changing world in their local communities. We are indebted to our supporters for their invaluable support without which support, we would not have been here to share this success. We look forward to your continued support to help us impact many women and girls Thank you
